Okra Recipes


A. Fried Okra

Ingredients:

Okra 250 gms
Oil for frying
Salt
chilli powder
Dhania Powder
Amchur Powder

Method:

  1. Cut the okra in a round shape, thinly diced
  2. Now take a kadai and add the oil
  3. Now add the okra and leave it on low flame
  4. The colour of the okra has to be turned to golden brown
  5. Now remove the kadai and add the masalas on top

And yes finally add a tinch of love J

B. Stuffed Okra

Ingredients

For Stuffing

Coriander -  6 small bunch
Garlic Flakes – 8-10
Green Chilli 5-6 (this depends on how spicy you want)
Dhania Powder
Salt
Okra
Oil

Method:
  1. Grind Coriander, Garlic Flakes and green chilies to a fine paste ( add very little water to remove the paste from the mixie ). This paste should not be watery. Keep aside.
  2. Now cut off the edges of the okra and then just slit the centers don’t cut into two halves
  3. Now the masala that you have grinded to that add salt and dhania powder
  4. Then add this masala in the center of the okra (please add sufficient masala only then u get the taste)
  5. Now a kadai add little oil(please don’t deep fry this) and add the okra and cook on low flame , 5-7 mins until tuned golden brown
  6. This can be had with roti or dosa J

C. Masala Orkra

Onion 2 medium (diced)
Ginger Garlic Paste 1\2 tsp
Okra 250 gms
Tomato – 2 medium (diced)
Chilies – 4-5
oil
Garam masala 1\2 tsp
Dhania powder 1\2 tsp
Salt to taste
Tumeric powder a pinch
Coriander for garnishing
Method:
  1. Take a kadai add oil and sauté the okra ( if you don’t do okra becomes very sticky) for 5- 7 mins
  2. Now in the same kadai add some more oil, then add ginger garlic paste, onion , sauté until golden brown, then add the tomatoes and green chilies sauté well
  3. Now add you’re okra and the masala and keep in on low flame
  4. As you have sautéed your okra in the beginning this will not take much time to cook
  5. 5.     Please don’t add water to this
  6. 6.     Finally garnish with coriander

Tomato Pasta


Tomato Pasta

Ingredients
Olive oil – 2 spoons
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Carrot (thin sliced) - 1
Capsicum (yellow or red or green) thin Sliced 1\2
Onion – 2 big (thin sliced)
Broccoli – 2-4 pieces
Corn – little
Tomato – 5-6 big
Oregano – according to taste
Salt – according to taste
Red chilli flakes – according to spice required
Olives – Green or black – 10 pieces
Cheese – 3-4 Cubes (grated) ( if you  are on a diet, this is not required J)
Pasta  - (penne, fusille, macaroni) this can be according to your liking  



Method:
1.       Bowl the pasta 5-7 mins, salt to be added, once cooked drain the water and run cold water over the pasta. The cold water will not make the pasta sticky. Then keep this aside. This can be done in a microwave also. 
2.       Grind the tomato’s to a fine pulp – Keep aside
3.       Now take a kadai or pan, add olive oil (let the oil heat little), then add ginger garlic paste, onion, sauté the onion for 5-7 mins until little brown.
4.       Now add the vegs and cover with the lid for 5-7 mins (this should not be over cooked)
5.       Now add the tomato pulp and let it bowl for some time, add the salt, oregano, chili flakes
6.       Finally add the pasta and now mix it, don’t mix too much as the pasta will break
7.       Now add the cheese  and cover with the lid for 2 mins

       Vegs can be added according to your choice

Hello everyone.... When i was a kid i always used to wonder what's cooking and  can i ever cook. My grand mom used to be behind me to cook but i hated it. But every time i was forced to cook and i never had a smile and tinch of love for my recipes and these never turned good. But later came a day in my life when i lost my grand ma and i had to start cooking. I slowly started yes i failed a lot of times but never gave up. We learn with our experiences and that's called Cooking. Keep trying and you will reach there :-) From then i never turned, now i love cooking and every single day i come up with something new. 

This group has been made specially for the food lovers not only eaters but for folks out there who is passionate about making new new dishes and like to eat and share it with others..... 

Most of my stuff is on health, hence don't worry about waist just go for it :-)
